Scratching the history right from the inception of the association as Surat Pediatric Association in 1985-86 being captained by Dr.R.P.Shah as the founder President & Dr. Nirmal Choraria as the secretary, the clock has turned round from IAP, Surat Branch again to Surat Pediatric Association after 25 yrs of service to the kids.

The branch comprising of about 190 members has an affiliation to Central IAP & boasts as the most active branch of Gujarat & India as well. Unarguably, the testimonies to this are the four consecutive best branch awards in the state without any competition & nearly missing the National award for the same every year. Such is the supremacy that we really feel exhilarated to say We feel lonely at the top.

The association is indeed lucky to have dedicated captains & a troop of fanatic members who are committed with utmost serenity & fidelity to the cause of children on academic & social fronts. Advocacy to work for child healthcare & well being are the prime objectives. The flagship projects viz. HELP, YASHODA, READ, CARE & HEART mark our endeavors to achieve our motives. One of the milestones being the launching of Human Milk Bank & successfully organizing probably the World's first Human Milk Donation Camp has nailed a place in Limca Book of World Records making all the members proud.

On academic fronts, the association has a legacy of organizing National & International conferences & CMEs over & above the routine CMEs to keep its members updated with the latest in science. The very regular monthly Clinical Meetings helps the members to meet on a front & discuss difficult cases.

With a heritage of Association's legendary biggies & a strong cordial bonding amongst its members, the organization swears to make a fortune of substantial & high level of care to be imparted unselfishly to the little blooming buds to make their life & path flowery & thereby achieve a new Horizon!
